Default Front Page Problem with [META]

The [META] tag belongs between <Head></Head>, right after the title command, as in:

<title>[TITLE]</title>
[META]

The problem I'm facing is that everytime I save my frame.html document, Front Page moves [META] to the body section. THe effect is that my meta tags for SEO are in the wrong place.

Does anyone know how to make Front Page stop doing this? I really don't want to have to learn a new editing program. I barely have time for this migration!

I know there is a setting in frontpage that is on by default which automatically "fixes" you html code. I`ve seen it break more than fix, but microsoft seems to think its still a good feature.

I have it set to "Preserve Existing HTML" but it still wants to move [META]. God, I hate Bill Gates!

Maybe there is another switch for to throw. I'll keep looking.

Copy it to Notepad and save it there. It'll retain your settings. That's what I do. Otherwise, FP will drive you bezerk.

Robert, check your source code for product pages you posted at ecartreviews forum. I see your stylesheet link is duplicated in the head tags. Is this maybe also a result of using FP?

Thanks. I think the problem is fixed. I downloaded the free trial of coffeecup html editor and saved the frame file that way.
