Is there a way to force the sort order to be by product name when viewing a category? I know that the user can do it manually with the dropdown in the header, but I want it to default so that products display as sorted by name when the user first sees the category page.
There is an alphabet feature you can pay to have implemented. Since I sell DVD's, it was very handy for sorting genres. I think it ran me about $150 to have put in, because of the time it took Gonzalo & team to do. But none the less, it is available, it just costs a little. Maybe on version 3.0 it will be a free feature not to sure, but wanted to let you know!
I belive what onering needs is actually on the next update. We`ve set it up so that you can specify what order the products are returned (you select the order per category), we also have a global setting, so if you wanted to have all of them sorted by name, you can just set it there.
We had to delay this 2.1 update because we wanted to squeeze in a couple of more little things, but its almost ready!

Is there a way to set the default sort format for products returned in a search? I have a feeling it is in one of the include files or an ASP file, but I would like to set all products returned by a search to sort by name.
