I uses a comma-delimited text file and manually upload. that part is easy - but I have trouble getting the file just right. I have to make sure the image link is correct and I have to create the link to the product - not hard - but a little time-consuming I just updated over 2,000 products today - we'll see how it goes.

No - I guess not - I do a product export - using a custom export to get the ID, description, image url, name.

Then I manipulate that to get the http: in front of the image file - things like that.

Obviously I'm missing something- what file should I be using?

Thanks for the helpl

Go to "PLUGINS"
"SHOPPING ENGINES"
"GOOGLEBASE/FROOGLE"
and click submit feed
click to download the export file
save as yoursite.txt
use this file to upload to googlebase.
It is formatted correctly for google/froogle and will post within a few hours.
Hope this helps.....

Mark

Well I feel foolish!

I even searched the KB on Googlebase and Froogle and never found anything there - so just was doing it myself.

This should be a little easier!

Thank you Mark!

I hope I gave you some info that helped.
I am really going to try and work this forum to get information flowing for everyone's benefit.
I have two 3dcart websites and I want to get the best conversion possible from them both and share ideas, faults, tips, downfalls, whatever, etc as best we can!

I used to use the Froogle ftp update feature but that no longers works. I exchanged emails a little bit with 3dcart, but, they never got the submit feed to googlebase to work. I didn't persue it because, it takes about the same effort and time to just export the file and upload it manually....

Thanks again Mark - I now have over 3,200 searchabel items on Googlebase. I just did a manual submit - it was very easy to do.

Do you submit to any other shopping sites? It appears Google is the only free one.

I'm doing googlebase (now), etsy, 3DCart, and going to start relisting on ebay for some special items. Have to do something to get things rolling again.
