Show / Hide lenghtly product options

I would like to have the ability to show/hide product options based on the customers selection. This is what I mean:

I have embroidery as an option for my items. The customer sees "Want Embroidery?" with "Yes" or "No" in a drop down box. If "No" is selected then everything stays the same. If "Yes" is selected then all the other options that go with embroidery appear below it, such as the text to be embroidered, font color, font size and font style.

Anyone know if I can incorporate this into my site manually now?

Right now I have to create individual options that all appear on the item page and look cluttered and messy.

There is no built in feature for this, but, something I came up with looking at your example:

1) Put a

tag around the section were options display on the template. (So that it looks like

<div ID=\"options\">

ALL TEMPLATE OPTION CODE HERE

</div>

2) On the template, add the option, and then with some javascript, based on the option, show or hide the div. (The div will start hidden, and then onchange of the dropdown option either change style to display:block or display:hide.)

You can do this on 1 template, and assign all items that match this type of product to that template, so it doesn't have to be a store wide template modification.

I too would like to do something like this. Gonzalo it's good to hear that you've come up with a workaround. Can you (or anyone else) elaborate or provide a link to Javascript code that would work for this?

I would also LOVE to see this feature implemented. I actually suggested it a long time ago, but obviously hasn't come about yet.

We currently have many products that we offer personalization to, and they each can have many options, which definitely looks cluttered. My other concern is that I think it can be confusing to the customer when they have a bunch of options that don't actually apply to them.

I somehow feel that the workaround given will be far to complicated to implement. Would be interested to hear how it worked for others.

We too would like to see true daisy chain options. We have suggested this in the past. It would be quite helpful to have sub options appear based on previous options selected.
