In the state of WI we have several tax rates. According to WI IRS we are suppose to charge sales tax to each county bases on their respective sales tax rates. And legally we aren't suppose to pay it ourselves either.
So, if the tax manager allowed for setting up a tax rate by county that would pretty much be what I need.
We have the same thing in Ohio. With our Monster site we gave the tech's a spreadsheet provided by the state that matched zip code to county, and sales tax is applied that way. We haven't gotten that far in building our 3D site, but I hope that will be possible as well. We must charge the sales tax per county, not a blanket rate.
I was told their is a zip code plug in. I have a support ticket in for them to set this up on my account. It hasn't been done yet, so I don't have anymore details. I am told it is done with zip code ranges.
We need this capability in Iowa too. We have to charge tax by county not state. It is based on zip code. Would like to hear more if there is a way to do this.
I had this plug in added by 3dcart. You set up zip code ranges by state. Basically it just adds zipcode range blanks to the already existing tax manager.
It works really great if you need to charge different sales tax rates for different counties/zip codes within your state.
