I believe that the "View Visitor" or Monitor function does just that with the Live Chat plugin, no? It's one of the very BEST features about the LiveChat plugin as far as we're concerned.

No. It does not. All I can see is the page they are on, ip address, and time on the page.

I would like to see the following in addition:
1) total time on site
2) previous pages visited
3) referrer page
4) referrer keyword
5) visitor's city, state, and country

All of this information would really help us to assist our customers and it is readily available on other chat systems that we have used.

I just checked the new release for 3dCart.
Though some of the new features are very appreciated for us (esp the shipping by Dimension!!), we still need some little things:

1) UPS Account Number:
Some clients have an UPS Account Number. By the way, we dont charge them
anything, the shipping cost is free, however there is no way right now
in the shopping cart to do it.
What would be great is to add a new shipping method, that says : UPS
account Number , and then the client enter his accout number in a text
box ( A verification from UPS could be done online by connecting to ups
website or database, though i dont know if UPS would allow it)
and then, the shipping for this customer will be free.

It could work also for FedEx or whatever .....

2)Best Sellers
It would be great if the pictures of the products are displayed for the
best sellers, just a title is not always enough talking to inform the
customer, plus its not very attractive.
So it could be something similar than Related Items ( Pictures, Price,
Reviews, how many purchase done in the past .... )

3)Resume of the shopping cart in website.
Though I know most of your clients use 3dcart as a shopping cart AND as
a store, and so dont have any other website, I think it could give
interest to other new clients that they have the possibility to join
their website and the shopping cart well.
We personally have our own website on our own server, and the shopping
cart on urs, however, there is no way for us to inform the client about
his content of the shopping cart when he is back to shopping on our
website. Something with a cookie could do it easily, just to stock the
informations that can be used whatever.

4)PayPal Express Checkout.
Add the PayPal Express checkout for Verisign PayFlow Pro. I know it
works for PayPal Pro, however it doenst work for Gateway through
Verisign PayFlow Pro.
However, PayPal confirmed us many times, Verisign PayFlow Pro and
Express Checkout can work together.

5)Calculate Shipping in View Cart
Im not sure if there is any way to change it in the code, but when a
client enter the zip code and then press Enter, it doenst work, he needs
to click on th GO Button to make it work. (though it works for the
Coupon Code)
Plus when he updates the quantity for a product, it erases the shipping
cost, something great would be to update the shipping cost automatically.
Its important the client gets all the information the soonest possible.

6) Google checkout orders added in Google Analytics
Gonzallo is aware about it and told me :
" Upon further investigation the problem with Google Checkout orders is
that they customer never returns to the site after the order is placed,
so the tracking snippet is not seen. We'll need to find another way to
pass the snippet perhaps into google checkout. I've added this to our
"todo" list to improve the Google Analytics plugin, at this time I don't
have a fix for this because the current integration works by executing
on the checkout4 page (thank you page) a page never seen by Google
Checkout users..."

7) Email a Friend
Is there any way to be in copy blind when a client sends an email to a
friend about a product.
Firstly, it would give an idea about if emails are sent about products,
plus it could be a good way to check someone don't spam from our website.

Ok, I think thats pretty much it. for sure, we still have a lot! but right now the most urgent for us is to make a right shipping calculation.
I also let know about these features by ticket in Dec 5th, but I dont see them in the new release.

Also, I do understand everybody wants their new features, so not always easy to satisfate everybody !

Aha! I stand WAY corrected! Indeed that tyoe of functionality would be GREAT!!

A lot of good suggestions for the upcoming release.

I have one small request; when setting up a new store the ability to simply add your IP address to grant access is very helpful and avoids the need to lock it down with a password or something of that nature.

When developing a site I often need people to access the site who I do not need or necessarily want to give access to the admin. Currently there is no way to either manually edit or create an IP entry to grant access. So, short of giving them access to the admin and walking them through to the page where they can add their IP there is no way to get them access.

I assume it would be fairly trivial, especially since the functionality only needs to be enhanced and not really created. Just allow us to edit the IP string. As admins if we screw it up and open up the store to a whole block of IP addresses because we forgot a period, well then that is our problem.

And before someone mentions it, I know I could create a very restricted admin login just for this, but it is still very kludge.

3Dcart said the date for the release was moved from January to April, it's a great deal of work for them and I think they know how important the april release is for all of us.
