Default Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) Options

I was wondering if there was a way to setup an automatic email for requests for quotes on items that we have on which we have a MAP? For one particular manufacturer, they have told us we can sell for cheaper than the MAP, we just cannot publish the price. I'd like to set it up so a customer at the product page can easily click a button requesting a quote be sent to their email address.

Can HTML be added to the Display Text under the price and quantity options?

Thanks,

Jeff

If I remember correctly, I once included html in the display text and encountered errors on the product page. I was told by tech support that it was because of the html. Things may be different now or updated so I would confirm this with them.

If what you're asking can't be done - could you just put "Request a quote" in the display text without html and then include a link on the product page to take the customer to a custom form to request a quote? Not sure how this would work. The customer may be forced to reenter product id or other information unless it could coded to automatically transfer the information.

Another idea: For some of our products offered in set quantities say from 25 -1000 cards, we have as an option in a drop-down box "Have representative contact me for a quote" in case a customer wants to order more than the 1000 cards. The quote request comes in as an order, but I get all of the contact information and product details. On the product page, there can be a text box for the quantity that the customer wishes to receive a quote for.

Hope that makes sense. I'm sure there's a better way - but this is what we've done.

you could just disable the price and say 'add to cart for price'

Unfortunately, even that may not be Kosher. We do that with another vendor, but the prices are advertised on Froogle and are not hidden.
