Sorry Rachel - the only way I know how to do this is with a category. I do this this (when I do it) the same way I do the Recently Added Items category discussed in the other post.
I have a check box in my MS Access database that allows my to mark if an item is on sale. If that box is checked then my import routine adds that product to the ON SALE category and then sets the sale price accordingly.
I haven't used this much at all yet. So far my sales have been in the form of promotions to my customers. I've just set a few items on sale by hand and haven't used the Sale category.
If you figured out how the New Items category worked -then this should work for you also.
I also wrote a query in my Access database that allows me to set an entire category or designer on sale and then states what percentage off the sale price will be. That allows me to quickly mark bulk items in my database - then my import routine handles it for 3-d Cart.
One problem I do have - when I want to take items OFF sale then I have more of a headache because I normally only import items that are new or the inventory has changed. So taking items off sale was 'by hand'. I can do it with my import routine but it was becoming bothersome - thus very few on sale items right now.
Hope this helps
Carla
