  • Who has an 800 Number?

    Happy New Year to everyone!

I am thinking about adding an 800 number to my site and would like to know which company you use if you have one, how expensive it is and how difficult it is to set up.

    Thanks for your input!

We are using, Get800Today.com. We only pay $2.00 per month and pennies per minute depending on where the call is originated from. They did have a one time setup fee as well but that is about $30.00. It works like a pre-paid program, you buy credits and top up as you need, the credit never expires.

However, you can only get a Vanity Number from them currently, as they have run out generic numbers that you can choose from. Still it is cheaper than most places.

We use Onebox® Virtual PBX | Call Routing | Voicemail To Email | Online Fax| Toll Free, I think it is $50 a month for 4 or five lines and enough minutes that we never went over. You get an 800 fax number, and regular and 800 numbers. Their voice messaging system is great with time controls on whether to send them to voice mail or direct them to another number. Very reliable. They also have an ipad and droid aps to call customers and you control the caller id, so they see your 800 number.

I use Grasshopper.com or better known as Got Vmail. They changed their name. I guess they thought Grasshoppers are more appealing in the business world.

We use Ring Central for our fax, but our phone system is VoIP, so for that we currently use Megapath.

I use Nextiva. Similiar to Ring Central. It is very reasonably priced, has multiple lines, customizable and call forwarding.

                        Line 2 by Toktumi.

Great app for the iPhone that adds a second line (VOIP) for very little cost...800 numbers as well.

They also offer an Android version.

Nextiva here. Moved from Grasshopper/Verizon/maxemail to one complete solution. Works great. Multiple lines, 800 number, auto-attendant, etc... Great support as well.

Does this solve the problem your cell phone number displaying on a customer's phone when you have an 866 number forwarded from a landline?
