  • I'm LOVIN' the "back in stock" notifications!

    Wow, so I've been on 3dcart all of about 6 days. We turned on the "Back in Stock" notification feature when we launched thinking it would be interesting to see how it goes. (you know where you're out of stock and the customer can opt in to have an email sent when it's back in.)

    So today we got a couple of shipments in so we were able to restock some items. Within just a few hours, not one, not two, but THREE orders went through that we could trace directly back to that feature. Not only did they grab the items they wanted, but a few other things while they were at it.

    So yeah... just thought I'd say that I really love that feature.

    Never heard of the feature. :(
    We bagged the "put me on waiting list" idea two years ago because the cart had no functionality to track or email customers.
    You obviously have a different version of the cart than we do. :(

      Hmm, I don't know. Yeah, we can go in and see what products people have been putting on their waiting lists, and when we get them in stock we just tick the little "notify" box and they get a little email.

      Might be worth calling 3DCart about. I assumed when they upgraded or made any tweaks they just changed everything across the board... what do I know though?

        This was a major feature on my wishlist when looking at carts. Although it would be nice if notifications could be sent automatically when stock levels go back up. Our catalog is 30,000 items and I don't want to spend tooo much time handling emails.

              All-in-all I think the feature is great. My only complaint is this:

              The customer receives an email with a link to be removed from notifications for that product. They click on it and it takes them to a blank page. That's it... there's no message that says "Successfully removed" or anything.

              Just thought I'd add that... but yeah, love the feature.
