  • Agree to Policies

It seems that some customers do not read store policies before purchasing. I would like to have them check a box indicating they have read the policies before they proceed to checkout. How is this best done? Can it be done with html/xhtml or does it require javascript?

We put it as a checkout question, you can implement check-boxes there.
They must click the check-box in order to finalize the purchase.

      Thanks!

Thanks ElegantWeddings. That should work and no coding required.

I do not have a solution, but be aware that if you use Paypal Express, Checkout by Amazon or Google Checkout, customers using these methods do NOT see the checkout questions and therefore are not required to check the box.

          Not a Problem!

I only accept credit cards. The checkbox system works fine for my needs. It is good that you brought up the other payment options and issue with the checkbox not being seen by those shoppers.

We use a checkout question worded with a hyperlink to our terms & conditions
