    We use follow up emails for those that put their email addresses in the cart.

        So the only thing that you do is rely on the Follow-Up Emails? Do either of you give the customer a call or have a special promo code in the follow up email?

          Sometimes you don't have alot of information to go off of. Most times I don't have a telephone number, but I do have an email address, or they're created an account so I can find as much info as I can. I usually ask if they experienced any problems with the checkout, questions prior to checkout they needed answered, etc. but my products are very different than most in that I restore Mopar muscle car wiper motors and alot of times people don't really know which wiper motor they need, etc. Alot of my sales actually don't even process through the store, it's done via telephone because of the nature of my business and it being more a restoration process than a product. I personally don't offer a discount because someone abandoned their cart, but again, my products are different than most.

              In our industry, Dim weight from UPS costs us sales. We do follow up with questions, such as was the shipping cost a factor.

                Pack Secure, when you say you follow up are you referring to the auto-response email that is sent out and you customize it to include your questions?

                  You can customize it. Go to Settings > Design > Emails. Then under Order Emails> Not Completed

                  Make sure to make your changes in both the HTML and Text Section/Version.

                    I was wondering if anyone used AbandonAid (or something similar)? The built in app is okay but it does'nt capture folks who haven't logged in -- it would be nice to have a pop-up when someone leaves with items in the cart to follow up on questions/offers, etc.
