  • How to "UnCheck" same as billing box

    In our checkout, the "same as billing" checkbox is clicked. This is causing us some issues. Is there a way to "uncheck" this box as default?

    Do you by chance have Billing must be same as shipping on the checkout settings?

      No, definately not. We allow shipping to different than billing.
      We would like the ability to have it show either checked or not checked.
      Often, customers will email afterwords saying they meant to ship elsewhere and it's probably because of the checkbox.

          Hi Mark,
          Looks like you have an outdated template, we did have it that way on 3.0, but on 3.1 we changed that behavior and the default is that its NOT checked. If you would like us to replace the template for you with the default, we can take care of that for you. Please email [email protected] a simple email that you want to have us replace the single checkout template with the default on your template folder "v30014".

          Looking at your account, the problem is that you made a copy of the 1 page checkout template and placed it on your layout folder, and so that one did not get updated. When we do an update we overwrite the templates in the COMMON folder.

          You could easily just rename the template, and it would start using the one on the COMMON folder, that's an alternative as well to fix this issue.

            Oh, darn.
            Is there an easy fix on the existing template?
            We had to make extensive changes to our template to get it to properly integrate with our credit card processor. Lots of changes to max field lengths, form validator, etc.... :(

              Well, you could download it, from /web/assets/common/ , then download yours, then use something like:

              http://snowtide.com/files/media/jsdi...fflibtest.html

              (You enter the source of 1 file on 1 box, the source of the second on the other)

              To compare them. (It will put them side by side and show you the differences.)
