  • How long does the email queue remain?

    We need to know how long the outbound email queue remains? When we moved all our shipped orders to a custom status, a "order processing" email was generated and sent to previous orders. In order to stop the emails, the "from to" was populated with random characters. This stopped the emails from going out. How long must we wait before we can use that email again?

    There is no answer to this as it would depend on the server you are on the number of emails you and the other sites on the machos send, etc, but normally the email queue is cleared up quickly (within 10 minutes)

      We halted the sending of the emails. How long before the system gives up and removes the emails from the queue? That's really what we meant to ask. :o

        Not sure what you did is doing anything, once it's in the queue changing the from address won't affect them once they are in queue they won't change in any way. The answer as to how long they remain there is on my first reply.
