damiencaz , APO/FPO have to ship via priority mail. If you have a heavy package, shipping costs may become un-affordable if you offer free or flat rate shipping options. It is correct for 3dcart to make this an option the retailer chooses, and not a default.

This is our Military. What a shame we have to add these to our settings. Just saying.

I use UPS for everything domestic, and USPS Priority Mail for AP/AA/AE addresses, as well as US Virgin Islands and Guam. All you have to do is go to your shipping methods, and create a new method for each. Select US as your country, and then from the drop down box for state you can select any specific state--the AA/AP/AE addresses are at the top of the list. I had to set up each one individually, but there may be a way to combine them but I couldn't figure it out. Works great! :)

Does anyone here currently ship to APO/FPO addresses? Tech support says I need to setup an account with USPS to do so (which I did) but I haven't enabled it on my website. I only want to offer USPS shipping options to those that require shipping to APO/FPO addresses. Presumably, if USPS were an option, someone could potentially ship to a PO box, which I also don't want (increased possibility of fraud). Is there any way around this?

Ok, they just need to be added under Settings>Shipping>Shipping Countries> & click Check States next to US.

Add State at the bottom for:
    Armed Forces America AA
    Armed Forces Pacific AP
    Armed Forces Africa/Canada/Europe/Middle East AE

Were you ever able to find an answer to this problem? We have a few APO/FPO customers as well.
