  • Android Certificate Error?

Received Android Certificate Error and I was not even using M-Commerce, Does this mean than anyone with a Android phone visiting my site will receive the BIG FULL PAGE warning about ordering from my site?

I could be wrong but are you guys useing a shared certificate.
If so it is normal for the entire mobile site to run https here at 3dcart.
So that would be the reason for the message you are getting.

Now some of us were getting the following message below:

"SECURITY WARNING----THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH THE SECURITY CERTIFICATE FOR THIS SITE----THIS CERTIFICATE IS NOT FROM A TRUSTED AUTHORITY"

I believe that this has now been fixed.

I have my own EV SSL on my site. Doing some testing now and the issue might be solved but since I already gave permission on my phone to view my site and my tablet I need to test it on another few phones later today.

A power off and on will clear your phone browser.

This error does not happen with the shared ssl. I spent some time online with support about this yesterday. They say its a problem with the android browser and google is aware of it and will fix this in a future update. I was abit disappointed to see this error as well, i hope it gets resolved soon.

i've looked into this and geotrust has outlined a solution. It seems that 3dcart might be having a little trouble with the implementation. Has anyone gotten 3dcart to fix their geotrust ssl issues? I'd love to be able to reference the fix in case it's just a bit of internal confusion at 3dcart.

Can you explain this? I am curious to find out what the confusion is.

I'm not entirely sure that there is confusion. I'd spoken with a representative that was under the impression that the certificate authority error workaround was already found. This representative was not the one handling my support ticket. I'd just noticed that this thread had gone inactive and thought perhaps that the problem had been corrected for others.
