  • Another BING question

    Hello:

Now that my new sitemap is up and things seem to be running a little smoother, I thought it would be a good time to upload my stuff to Bing.

I set up the account in March and it looks like it is still active. So I have filled out everything and I am ready to try to upload when I came across the categories. Where is pet supplies? Is it in home and garden or other? Why do the categories for the seller not correspond with the categories the buyer sees? Am I missing something?

    Thanks for your help.

I would put it under "Home and Garden" because this is in general for all of your items.

I haven't done the subcategories due to lack of time, here is their taxonomy:

You can contact them if you need assistance or the merchant forum and FAQ:

Hope this will get you in the right direction :)

I have a bingshopping account, and upload a feed to it. You said you have your sitemap setup where do you submit your sitemap to bing at?

I don't think you need to submit it
Need to define it in the robots.txt

            Sitemap

Elegant is right. no sitemap to Bing. that i did for Google.

Mind you, I am not certain if I can submit to Bing right now. It appears that they don't accept new merchant feed and since I don't have a feed uploaded, I probably have to wait until they accept more. Bummer :(

I don't worry about Bing. It's an after thought that still doesn't work for Microsoft. Bing is all about Bing and the money they can make.
