  • How do I get bigger thumbnails?

    Ive adjusted the size to much larger in store settings and renamed and reuploaded my 400x500 image but I cannot get it to display larger than it is already. Is there a way to fix this? Ive tried uploading it and not creating a thumbnail and just using the original image as thumbnail but it still sizes it back down to what seems to be the standard size.

    if you are familiar with modifying code, you can do so in the search, category, listing.. pages etc where thumbnails appear.
    In most cases it is set to maximum of 150, you can change it.

    For example in the category page:
    <img src="thumbnail.asp?file=[THUMBNAIL]&maxx=150&maxy=0" border="0" alt="[name]" >

      EW, you're so knowledgable. Can you possibly help us with this?

      I've changed:
      frame.html 3/2/2012 12:08:38 PM

      What am I missing? When I search the listing.html frames they're quite off from the default and original code.

      I have the store settings set to the same info as what the code says too.

      For ex: our home page has large thumbnails but a category page doesn't. I've cleared the cache... yada yada. Any suggestions?

      I've uploaded the master images files w/their large sizes through the file manager (not FTP).

        When you upload via File Manager, the files gets re-sized (I believe) to the settings:
        Settings>General>Store Settings : Products Settings
        • Thumbnail image size (default 100x100)
        • Product page image size (default 300x300)
        • Large image size (default 750x750)

        I checked your Home page it is maxx=250, but the category page still shows maxx=150. Make sure you are updating the correct category_xx.html

          There are multiple areas in the category templates which have the sizing properties. Make sure you change the one under

          <!--START: ITEM_TEMPLATE_0-->

          This is where it is normally missed when changing the thumbnail size.

          If you have an editor that shows line #'s it will be around line 277. If you are using a different item template in your categories you will scroll down to the next:

          <!--START: ITEM_TEMPLATE_1-->
          or further yet
          <!--START: ITEM_TEMPLATE_2-->
