  • DIFFERENT WIDTH of certain pages! :/

    Hello everyone,

    It is I once again. The width of my specific product pages are different from the homepage and category listing pages. Why is that and how can I fix it? I cannot remember for the life of me how to change the page widths (though I did it previously to fix my pages to my header width).

    Here are visuals for what I mean:
    Homepage where width is perfect: Welcome to Hydara Fabrics - The Best Place for African Fashions
    Product Pafe where width is wider, stretched out: Gold-Plated, Hanging Bell, Small Necklace Set

    Thanks again,
    Fatuma

    It is the product images that pushes the sides of the frame.
    Try reducing the thumbnail size to be 150 on the longest side.

    Or if you know how, reduce the table width of the image containers.

      Page Width

      There is a place in your settings to hide the right column for that page. Once you do I suspect your page will look fine. Another approach is the use of containers and wrappers. Those require coding. Try dropping the column first. You don't need the right column on your product detail pages.

        Hiding the right column didn't change anything.
        My thumbnails are already re-sized to 150px, if you look on the category pages, they look fine. Shouldn't the same thumbnails be used in the history and related item sections (which is where I think is causing the stretch). Where do I go to change the table width for image containers? What's the code to search for?

        Thank you both! :)

          it is in your listing_X.html (where X is the number of the template you are using)

          Try reducing the table width, in think by default they are set to 97%, try reducing it little at a time until you are satisfied, don't forget to clear cache when you do refresh page to check changes
          Check the code blocks starting with following:
          • <!--START: accessories_0-->
          • <!--START: related_0-->
          • <!--START: browsing_history-->

            Still having a bit of trouble. I do not see a a listing_(template #).
            These are what I see when I go into Settings, Design, Template Editor:
            Listing_0
            Listing_1
            Listing_2
            Listing_3
            Listing_dd
            Listing_gd

            Which one should I look at? Or is it all of them?

              This is something you need to determine yourself. If you are using the same template for all then just one.

                I'm sorry for another post, but I'm just so confused.

                According to the article, I should be changing listing_1.html because my listings are in style 2?

                I've tried changing the widths, but I'm simply making it worst. Have no idea what I'm doing. I've attached the code in a .txt. file. Do you mind taking a peek and suggesting more specific changes?

                listing_1.txt

                Thanks so much.

                Best,

                  HFabrics - check your gmail, I sent you a revised version.

                  btw, you should change that on your site to an email address that belongs to the domain, better for business.
