  • Line Spaces in New Order email

    This is a minor question, but hopefully someone can answer it. On the New Order template, the "Shipping to" address leaves a line space for the Company and Street Address. Example:
    ***
    John Doe

    1235 Main

    City, St 12345

    ****
    The billing address has it correctly:
    John Doe
    1235 Main
    City, St 12345
    ****
    How do I get rid of the line spaces (unless there really is a company or 2nd address?

    Thanks

    If you look at the 2 blocks of code, you'll see that the billing one has something like:

    Code:
    <!--START: oaddress2-->
    [oaddress2]
    <!--END: oaddress2-->
    What the START/END blocks will do is if there is something in Address2 in this case, print it, if not, remove the entire block.

    So it appears on the template, this is being done for the billing, but not for the shipping. Note for the shipping the variable name will be different, something like:

    Code:
    <!--START: oshipaddress2-->
    [oshipaddress2]
    <!--END: oshipaddress2-->

      Thank you. I guess I wasn't clear. I'm more concerned about how it looks to the customer in the email, not how it prints. It has empty lines where the company and address 2 are located, even if they are not provided by the customer.

      This is the default email.
      SHIPPING
      <p><strong>Shipping To:<br>
      </strong>[oshipfirstname] [oshiplastname]<br>
      <!--START: ocompany-->
      [oshipcompany]<br>
      <!--END: ocompany-->
      [oshipaddress] <br>
      <!--START: oaddress2-->
      [oshipaddress2]<br>
      <!--END: oaddress2-->
      [oshipcity], [oshipstate] [oshipzip]

      Why, if there is no oaddress2 and ocompany entered, does the email display with blank lines?

        Note the block around [oshipcompany] it says "ocompany", which i think is the mistake. Try changing the start/end around [oshipcompany] to START: oshipcompany / end: oshipcompany
