  • Trying FTP connection (failing)

    Using WS-FTP Pro.
    Hook up using SFTP/SSH.
    I only get:
    Connect failure
    SSH Transport closed.

I used my sftp://vaporalley.3dcartstores.com and correct UN and PW.

    What am I doing wrong?

      I use LeapFTP.

I use FTP about 20 times a day.

      No issues to report.

I am using FileZilla with no problems (even after updating to the latest version of FZ just this afternoon).

I don't think it's the FTP client because I tried to different ones. I'm not getting the settings correct. Can you post what settings you are selecting. Do you have to use FTP or SFTP, etc. Sorry, I am FTP ignorant. Thank you.

Yes, please post your settings (in a secure manner of course).
Because I use WS-FTP and can't connect either.
Or tell me what else free software I can try?

Lately you have had to use the host ip instead of the host username. Unfortunately they do not let you know this yet.

Contact support over chat and they will give you the host ip and they will do a test connect on their end with filezilla.

Make sure also if you have the option to set the encryption to "Require Explicit FTP over TLS"

              Hope this helps
