  • Google Trusted Stores Configuration

Has anyway successfully integrated the new Google Trusted Stores plugin?

The majority of the implementation is pretty straightforward. However, I'm uncertain what to do with the Order Shipment and Order Cancellation Feeds. Do I have to manually submit these to the Data Feeds within Google Merchant Center on a daily basis or can I schedule to have them automatically uploaded by Google? Would love to hear from someone that has successfully implemented this.

The implementation works great I've found. You just need to use the interface in google.com/merchants to set up a feed and point to the files that 3DCart creates. You can submit them on demand or schedule them to be uploaded daily, which is what you want, of course.

Thanks Steven. I was making this more complicated than it really is. I've scheduled mine to be uploaded daily which I assume will work fine.

If they can create these feeds for Trusted Stores, why doesn't 3dCart create a similar plugin for Google Product Search. It's essentially the same concept.

Probably because every seller will have slight differences in their product feed. These feeds are comparatively simple.

Spoke a little too soon. Unfortunately my feed uploads failed. Did you use any specific settings to schedule your feed?

I actually use my own feeds that I maintain myself for reasons not worth talking about here, but looking at the feed I don't see anything special that will have to be done. The merchant back end should give some kind of error message that says why it failed. You might need to specify what kind of delimiter the feed uses (tabs)

Our feeds also fail. I have had a ticket open since 7/16. The last update is that the ticket has been escalated and the admins are working on it! That was a week ago, so I assume there is a an issue there.

It seems like 3dcart put up this feature without completing testing or the documentation to go along with it.

A quick look at the file directory using ftp shows that the files are definitely not being generated, causing the feed to fail in merchant center. I did set it up just today and perhaps they system is setup to generate those at a certain time once a day, but it sounds like it hasn't been working for anyone.

Also, the kb article doesn't mention anything about needing to add the badge code to the frame.html page or explain how the order confirmation module code will be generated/installed on websites with custom order confirmation pages.

                  You'll find the documentation at,
                  https://support.3dcart.com/3dcart2/K...y-3dcart-store

That's all you need to do, 3dcart takes care of the 2 Feeds needed and also generates the Badge script and the Order Confirmation script.

Setting up the Feeds in your Google Merchant Center requires entering the exact URLs. I believe you have to ADD the feeds first, and then edit it to enter the URL to the files and schedule the time for the download.

Jimmy, thank you for chiming in but that is what we have done, and the feeds fail. We have a ticket open and it was confirmed and escalated by tech support. Ticket # ZZU-225-78209

As PolarRay mentions there are no files that start with gts_xxxx in the /web/assets/exports folder???????????

Are the automated GTS feeds working for anyone?

I can confirm that I have files that match the given URL in my web/assets/exports file. Mine were last updated today at 1:00 am.

There are a couple things that could affect the feeds, i.e. Google is requiring a dedicated SSL to be part of the program. Also, if there are no orders that were just shipped after submitting the order confirmation script to GTS then file will be empty. And also very important, you need to enter Shipping Date and Tracking numbers.

We also have a ticket that is several days old. We are getting 11 errors on the google test drive and you all were supposed to be working on this. Still no word.

Our feeds are finally showing up and downloading on Google.
We have always met all the requirements mentioned by Jimmy. We have a dedicated SSL, and our orders are marked shipped with a tracking number and date.

Anyone know how to confirm with Google that the information on the order page is correct?
When I go to https://www.google.com/trustedstores and click "Your Orders" it says there are no orders associated with my account.

EDIT: Apparently "your orders" is for consumers to check on the status of an order they placed.

But there must be some other way to verify the javascript is working.
