  • Reward points in new order email?

    I was wondering if there was any way to get the rewards points to show up in the customer new order e-mail. I've tried adding the [order_points] to many different places on the e-mail template and it never shows up.

    The reason I would like to do this is we just experienced an issue with AOL. Since the new order e-mail and the rewards points e-mails are sent simultaneously, the new order e-mail was delivered, the rewards e-mail was Soft-blocked and the shipping e-mail we sent hours later was completely rejected by AOL. Until we figure it out, we've turned off the rewards points notification. Our transactional e-mails are sent through Mandrill and according to the dashboard the e-mail was not marked as spam by the customer.

    We are thinking that the sending of two e-mails at the same time, triggered the AOL spam filter. Has anyone been able to add reward points to the new order e-mails? If so, how did you do it?
