  • Please check your sites this morning- ERROR

Just a heads up- several of my client's sites are receiving the following error when a customer attempts to add a product to the cart:

When they click "add to cart" a pop up appears saying "Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party.

Are you sure you want to continue sending this information?"

When they click continue, it takes them to the view cart page where it says there are no items in the cart.

    Happening in FireFox

That will only happen if you are viewing the regular site in https as any page that has an add to cart button should not be encrypted in the first place.

If your clients access the site by clicking a link from the Admin area, it can bring them to their site in https. Also, I have seen glitches where when forwarded from the checkout area to the regular site, you end up there in https, which would also cause the problem.

          elightbox- question

elightbox, thanks for your response. It's strange. All of the site category pages and pages after (category, product, view cart) are in https-

          https://dachshunddelights.3dcartstor...tore_c_51.html

Do you have any suggestions for how to fix this?? Of course, urgent ticket sent to 3dcart support three hours ago and still not even assigned.

          Thanks.

settings > general > store settings then check Store URL.

it should be in the format
            http://www.xxx.com
            and the secure site
            https://www.xxx.com

Also, do you have a custom menu? or some links that could be coded with https

The links from your category menus have https:// in the URL. The link in your top horizontal menu simply start with dachshunddelights.3dcartstores.com/pagename
