  • Delivery Date there an app (or way to do it)?

    Hi all,

Most ecommerce sites that I shop on have a "delivery date estimator" like:

    "Estimated Delivery: December 3, 2013 - December 5, 2013"

Is there a way to do app through 3D Cart (I looked but couldn't find one), etc.?

Our main issue is that most of our products are made-to-order, and we have wording EVERYWHERE about that (including the product pages - right above the quantity box, terms & conditions, FAQ page, etc.), but we often have customers who buy an item, choose Next Day Air, and expect it the next day...when in fact, there is 2-4 business days for production before it even ships.

What I'm hoping for is something where it takes a customer's Zip Code, adds the transit time for the shipping method (Ground, 2nd Day Air, etc.) to the "handling/production time", and displays a "Estimated Delivery Date" range based on those criteria.

I thought that maybe I could code one myself (not that I'm an expert at that!), but it may be difficult to account for weekends, holidays, etc. doing it that way...

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

I believe that this company can offer you that functionality with their service.

I looked in to them a while back and they said they can accommodate most needs with a custom integration.

But, that might be something they already have ready to go.

Woohoo! Listed as planned on their roadmap. Customers are going to love this! Hope they will make this work with the app product page estimate shipping.

            it was about time....

Can't wait, this is much needed. I hope it includes the ability to set a processing time that adds on to the delivery estimate. Ideally we would be able to set this on a per product basis, as different items may require different processing times. We sell alot of personalized items and production can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks depending on the item, so we would need a way to factor this into any estimate provided to the customer.

just curious if future app will also estimate shipping cost?

I hope it works with all Shipping Methods.
