  • The order of going live

    Ladies and gentleman.

Im working on building our site (the first I have done) and Im just wondering about the correct order to achieve things and when to go live.

Is it a bad idea to go live with the site before its ready? The only reason I want to go live early is so that I can get the company email account running so that I can then sign up for things like google analytics and paypal payments using the company email address.

The problems I can envisage with going live before things are ready is that search engines will have a look before we are SEO optimised.

Does anyone have any ideas on this or experience or data???

    Thanks in advance.

If you are not moving shopping carts, there is little reason not to go live. If you get customers, fine. Just being SEO optimized is not going to help you much, and there is a Google sandbox where Google does not rank you high, so it will take a bit of time to get traffic.
