  • Inventory Update Issue

    Hi - I wonder if anyone else has had this issue and what they did to overcome it.

    Intermittently, I get an error message

    Stock Not Updated. Inventory level changed while editing.

    and it simply will not allow me to update the stock levels. I am running Windows 7 and IE 9 fully patched to latest versions.

    I have emailed 3dCart support and they have been unable to assist. Any ideas?

    I need to update stock so that I don't sell what I don't actually have!

    I update inventory all the time and I have never seen this.

        If you need this now I would recommend installing Chrome or Firefox to see if it works.

          Thanks for the suggestions.

          I have tried logging in via Google Chrome - still get the same issue.

          It is really frustrating - I have had this issue for months!

            I finally worked out that if I export and re-import the offending items, I can update the inventory.

            Not good that help desk was not able to offer a solution!

              Same issue

              I am now having the same issue. Usually it's been because I have an order that hasn't shipped. Then after I mark it as shipped I can update it. But now I've got a product which will not let me update the inventory no matter what. I receive the same error: Stock Not Updated. Inventory level changed while editing. - but there's nothing going on. I will try what you did with export/import - but seems silly to have to do this. I'm just marking it hidden tonight.

              ....update... I did export, update the quantity then import and that was fine. I can now also go to the product and update the quantity without issue. Glitch somewhere.. but glad there's a workaround!
