  • Alternative price text.

    Hi,

On our site ( Welcome to Tea Pot Tea Gifts - Where a world of quality tea awaits you. )we have two main types of product. Some of these have an option to buy different sizes and some do not. However the text before the price says "price from" for everything.

Is there a way to change this text so it says "price from" for the variable products and just "price" for the non variables??

    Thanks

    Paul

I don't think there is a simple change you can do to make this happen. You would probably need to go about it in a round-about way with some javascript to change the text on the fly. If you are interested in having something developed feel free to PM me.

Try going to Settings > Design > Store Language

Scroll down to Product Section, then go to the bottom of that section labeled yourprice: (You can also do a Ctrl + F and type yourprice, no space) Try changing the language to say Price or whatever you like. I do not know of a way to make changes for either or, but maybe you can reword it to fit.

I did it on ours and it worked fine.

      I hope this helps.

We sell the same things! ;) So we have the same problem... You can solve it by changing the category template for your tea items to say what you want it to say. However if you have any items that are in both categories your out of luck. This would also not work on your homepage.

We just show the base unit cost for the tea on our site, which is 1oz. It would be nice to have something a little more complex, but I have not found out how to do it yet.

Another option: It is possible to change what each item says instead of its price, under the advanced tab of the item, but it would require you to adjust each manually. So for instance you could say "Price: £2.50 - £17.50" by putting "£2.50 - £17.50" in the "Display Text" on advanced tab.
