  • how do I remove DIV class productContainer?

    3dCart is automatically inserting DIVs with class productBlockContainer and productContainer into the featured product list on my home page.

    How do I stop this from happening? The DIVs are breaking my layout.

    There is no way to stop the <divs> from being inserted, but this is trivial to code around. If the CSS is messing you up, then just edit the CSS file for those classes. The only other thing they do is control how many items are put in, which is changed at load time depending on your site setting.

      thanks for the quick reply. it's not exactly trivial to code around a \<div>\ inserted between a \<ul>\ and an \<li>\. I ended up converting the unordered list and its items to nested divs for the element to display properly.

        The system will try to insert the code semi-intelligently, emphasis on 'semi'. I've never seen it try to do it between a <ul> and a <li> before. Check my homepage, aebike.com, and it validates cleanly. I might suggest putting your own <div> immediately after the opening template tags. My home.html template code looks like:

        Code:
        <!--START: FEATURE_MENU-->
        <!--START: CATEGORY_ITEMS-->
        <!--START: ITEM_TEMPLATE_0-->
        	<div>

        		<div class="home_thumb_holder">
        			<!-- <img src="assets/images/products/[id].jpg" class="home_thumb" alt="[name]"> -->
        			<img src="[image1]" class="home_thumb" alt="[name]">
        		</div>
        		<br>
        		<div class="center">
        		<a href="product.asp?itemid=[catalogid]" class="product-link">[name]<br>
        			<!--START: ITEMPRICE-->
        			[ITEMPRICE]
        			<!--END: ITEMPRICE-->
        		</a></div>
        		<br>
        	</div>
        <!--END: ITEM_TEMPLATE_0-->
        <!--END: CATEGORY_ITEMS-->
        <!--END: FEATURE_MENU-->

          My best guess is that the system is simplying inserting its <div> after your first element within the code block, regardless of what kind of element that is. So that's why you can code around it with your own <divs>
