  • Abandoned Carts Notification

    Is this beneficial to use? I'm concerned that it's one more annoying email they get from the store.

    It really depends on how you use it. We ask for feedback and offer a discount code with our email. We do get decent feedback and some have used the discount code.

      We used it on our previous cart with good results. Is there any way to pull a report showing how many conversions the app receives? Our previous cart would show how many new orders resulted from the notification.

        That would be a great report -- what I do see is if you look at Uncompleted orders, you will see a notification of when the email was sent to them -- not sure if that would show on the Referrer info if the order does go through.

          Hi all,

          I liked the idea of adding a coupon code to the abandoned cart notification email. I do have a question though, when we tested the 'click here' button, while we do get returned to the website, to the 'view cart' page, the message indicates 'you don't have any items in your shopping cart'. Does this mean the customer's original cart is not retained? and they have to start the process over? Shouldn't the cart have remained full? Is this a 3Dcart function? Does anyone know if we can fix it or is it something 3Dcart has to fix?

            The cart contents should still be there. If the customer completes the order or removes the items then they are gone. The link should be the same as the Open Order link on the un-completed order page.
            It is a good conversion tool and we do receive some feedback from customers every once in a while.

              Hi elightbox,

              Thanks for the answer. When I did a test order yesterday, the cart contents were gone when I followed the link which I did think was odd. I will try another test order today and if I get the same result as yesterday, I will contact support.
