  • Image resizing and organizing - a few questions

Hi: I want to resize the thumbnail images - I reset in Settings which didn't work - figured out that because I used the option to make thumbnail from main image that the images need to be redownloaded. OR someone said to batch resize in File Manager. I thought I would try that first but when I go to File Manager then Thumbnails folder, there's nothing there. They are all apparently in the same folder as all other images, which is very cumbersome. In fact, the imaging in general is very cumbersome. So, I want to clean up if I can - on to my questions:

    1. Do I need to reupload photos to make the thumbnails bigger? - eta I tested this and yes, I do.
    2. If I rename a photo in the Images folder, will they still work on the site? - eta I tested this and no, they don't - make sure the file name is what you want it before uploading
    3. Can I make categories in the Images folder to organize my photos so I can find them easier (and not have to scroll through all of them) and if so, will the images being in a different folder still work on the site?
    4. Why aren't there any thumbnail images in the Thumbnail folder? And if I move all thumbnails to that folder will they still work on the site - see Q3.
    5. Is there a maximum size that thumbnails can be? I basically want a relatively large thumbnail on cat and subcat pages if possible. Similar to this http://charmingnecessities.com/categ...e-Sundress.htm whereas see mine http://www.knot-dresses.com/Dresses-Tops-Sets_c_18.html

Hi Katalone, I know this post is from waaaay back in 2015, but I wanted to ask if you ever worked out your Image organization questions. I am in the beginning stages of setting up a drop-shipping site, and I am about to add my first Product from a small Vendor, and I don't want to give her more work than is necessary. By the way, your shop looks GREAT!

If there is a quick way to describe how you ended up organizing your images, I would truly appreciate hearing about it. I know you are a busy entrepreneur, and understand if you are unable.

    Thanks! ... Connie Z
