  • Email Subject Line

Can anyone point me in the right place where I can edit the subject line of emails sent to a customer when you click on their email address inside an order? Right now it enters the Order number as the subject line -- I would like to add the store name to that.

    Thanks

Settings>Design>Emails - then look for "Order Emails" and you can tweak the ones the customer gets - you get etc. When a customer gets an order from us the subject line states "Order from eBeeHoney" coding looks like this: Order from eBeeHoney # [invoicenum_prefix] [invoicenum] Hope this helps - we have tweaked many of these email templates.

Birdsafe - looks like I may not have answered your question correctly> You want to know how to edit an email once it's inside the order email?

Thanks ebeegirl -- but I'm not referring to the Customer emails as in Received, processing, shipped, etc. -- this is more of a manual process when you click on the customer's email address inside an order to contact them for any number of purposes. Not sure if that uses any of the templates at all since there is no "content" only a Subject Line of the Order ID number.

no I do not think it does - just pulls the email and no template is used

Thanks - just thinking there has to be some code somewhere that is automatically inserting the Order ID number that can be modified.

              Hey Joe,

The email link is hard coded to the admin panel as mailto:[email protected]?subject=Order:ORDERNUMBER The only way that could possibly changed to my knowledge would be through 3dcart directly. Wouldn't hurt to put a request in to see if it could be done easily on their end.
