  • Pop up windows at check out not letting customers complete order

Is anyone else having problems with their shipping settings (mine seem to be all turned off and I'm on hold with tech support but I'm #5 in que, which is not a good sign) . A customer reported they couldn't check out because of a pop up window(trying to find out what it said from customer). I tried to do a test order and a shipping error pop up came up. Reentered everything and finally got it to go through. Went to check my shipping settings and they all seem to be turned off?

Ping reported that we were down a couple of times last night, I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

You might want to to a test order on your own site to be sure.

The problem was with what the pop up window said. It referenced a shipping error, but in fact it was happening because the payment choice button was not selected. c.c. info was entered but if you don't select which card your using, you got this pop up with the shipping error msg. Problem solved by support by figuring it out and helping change the verbage on that error message.

Thanks for replying. Can you please post the text of the message that WAS being shown and the error message # as well? I have had customers tell a similar story but I walked them through completing their order over the phone and with my input, they didn't get the error so we chalked it up to user-error but if there's an unhelpful message in there that could be better worded, I'd appreciate knowing about it.

It's annoying when stuff like this come up because 3dcart will help a store owner fix it but it won't get fixed for anyone else and they won't publish information about it so that we could know about it and fix it ourselves. It's one of my chief complaints about the platform is how individual stores get "fixes" while the rest continue to suffer with the exact same problems.
