  • bradsbarber-core CSS Question

    Need a hand. We updated our site to a core template and need some CSS help.

    Edits in default_modified.css

    Product pages example: https://www.caoh.com/pomegranate-juice-powder.html recently viewed background is grey we would like white, but cannot locate code area to edit.

    Mailing list input box for Mailing List on Home Page is white (cannot see what email address is input). Cannot find setting to change. Input color needs to be Black.

    FYI: It irritates me that getting help on this cannot be achieved by a support ticket - this is what they wrote to me:

    "Thank you for your patience. You'll want to go over to settings > design > themes & styles > more - edit template (html) > go to folder: select folder and select templates/bradsbarber-core/css . You'll need to edit the default_modified.css. Once in there you'll need to locate the proper code that controls the background. Unfortunately due to technical support not trained in coding, we won't be able to assist you locating the code. If you have any additional questions or issues, don't hesitate to ask."

    Well why not it's a 3dcart core template - does 3dcart not know they own system?

    I would call back and ask for a supervisor. If this is an error on their template, they should fix it.

      Put this into the default css to override this core css.

      .browsing_historyBlock {
      background-color: #ffffff;
      padding: 40px 0;
      }

      This template just used the core css for that block, so you would never find it in your bradsbarber default css.

        Too change maillist font color, search ".mailinglist-input.form-control" and change color:#fff; to color:#000;

            I added:

            .browsing_historyBlock {
            background-color: #ffffff;
            padding: 40px 0;
            }

            To default.css and tried default_modified.css no effect. Do I need to put it into a specific area?

            Example: https://www.caoh.com/pure-organic-peppermint-oil.html

              You put the css rule within a responsive call block in default_modified. So it will not show a white background until screen under 1199px width

              HTML Code:
              @media(max-width: 1199px){
              .home_history{
              padding: 20px 0;
              }
              .browsing_historyBlock {
              background-color: #ffffff;
              padding: 40px 0;
              }
              .browsing_historyBlock .header{
              margin: 0;
              }
              }

              Move your rule outside of the 1199px call, save clear cache refresh and you should be fine.
