  • How are you updating prices?

We have price changes regularly in order to compete on today's web. Because we sell items that can ship as 1 gallon, 1 quart, etc, price changes for example of 100 items can take up to 6+ work hours.

We have tried excel but the advanced options file does NOT include the item name making it practically impossible to do via excel unless you are an excel jedi which I am not.

Do any of you have any suggestions on how to update pricing faster or if you know of any 3rd party tools that will edit the 3dcart exports?

I am aware of this tool. It only works for items that do not have advanced pricing. For example it will work if the SKU is 1 widget with no product options. However if the SKU can be shipped as 5 gallons (and a unique price for 5 gallons), 1 gallon, 1 quart, it does not work. And since the vast majority of our items do ship with different volumes, it makes price changes mind numbing slog.

You can use their REST API: https://apirest.3dcart.com/Help/Api/...dvancedOptions

I am not a coder.. is anyone aware of any 3dcart customer that has used excel macros to get this to work?

Hi [email protected] - do you sell anywhere other than 3d? If so, we use a multi-channel inventory manager where we can change pricing on multiple platforms at the same time by making 1 change on its system, either manually or by way of spreadsheet. It is called ecomdash. I hope that helps.

If you use the advanced part number field (AO_Sufix) or GTIN, you can use that as a lookup value in an excel document. I use excel's power query functionality to pull the data straight from my database. I added a macro to the file and a barely trained staff member can update all of my advanced option availability daily in about 15 seconds. I'm sure that you can do the same with pricing. So, one worksheet with your inventory information, one worksheet with your advanced options export data and a vlookup formula targeting the appropriate column(s). Here's a screenshot of the formula

@masssagestore, can you please advise me the name of that product you are using? Assuming you have to conduct the 3dcart exports and imports manually after you have used the tool?
bzeltzer, thank you for the example.. I am looking for something out of the box that I can use immediately as I am not a coder.
