Posting Rules
This forum was created to help 3dcart users share tips on getting the best out of the service, offer knowledge and experiences about e-commerce in general, and to promote a positive environment in which our merchants can request/dispense advice regarding best practices.

The forum was not created for 3dcart users to submit requests for customer support. Any support related thread will be removed and a support ticket will be placed on your behalf. If you have technical difficulties please visit http://support.3dcart.com.

The 3dcart forum is also not intended to be a medium in which to express dissatisfaction about 3dcart's service, policies or its management and staff. Threads of this nature will also be removed from the forum. If a support issue with your 3dcart store was not resolved in a satisfactory manner; or if you feel that a particular 3dcart offering/policy is not to your liking, please let us know by emailing [email protected] so we can address your concerns directly.

Again, our purpose is to cultivate a positive learning environment for our merchants rather than platform in which to express grievances.

Very Important Rules:
* Never give away your store administration login/password in this forum.

Should you need technical help, please let 3dcart staff help.
Also, please be aware that 3dcart staff will NEVER need to ask for your 3dcart related passwords.

  • All video URL's lost after Version 9.1 update

Has anyone else had a problem since their store was updated to v9.1 with losing all their videos? We used to have a video on almost all of our product pages that was an installation tutorial. After the 9.1 update I noticed all the videos disappeared. With v9.1 you can actually have a video gallery which is great idea. The problem is the only way to put the video URL's into the gallery is to manually paste the URL into each product using the editor. This is challenging with over 1,000 SKU's that need videos associated with them. There is no field to import/export the URL's through a .csv. Before v9.1 you could import and export using the "realmedia" field.

After contacting support I was told if we wanted to import/export videos like before we would have to get a quote on custom programming. This seems a little crazy because the content was already on our product pages and in 3dCart. It was removed due to an update and now we're expected to pay for ability to restore the videos. Even if we did pay for the fix we would still have the time and effort of building a file to re-import the videos. Sorry to vent but I'm truly wondering if we are the only ones who used and lost product videos since the update. I would have suspected many others were affected but have not seen any posts.

We host our videos on Youtube and so far do not see any issues.

Good luck. Hopefully they can get it fixed.quickly.

I think you will be fine. Your videos are embedded in the description. My issue is with videos that appear in the thumbnails with the photos.

Have you looked at this: https://support.3dcart.com/Knowledge...-video-showing

Maybe your listing_0.html is missing this code block.

Great idea and initially this may have been an issue but our listing page is fine. You can see how the videos should render on this SKU: https://www.simplyspeakers.com/cerwi...-fsk-12ar.html

The only problem is all the previous YouTube links have been removed from our product pages and there's no way to import them anymore because 3dCart no longer uses the realmedia field. Thanks for the suggestion!

I see realmedia is still listed as an export field. Have you tried making a custom export with the realmedia and id? At least you wouldn't need to put together a new file from scratch.

I sure have! The realmedia field exists so I tried but the videos don't render.

simplyspeakers I believe this issue was reported and our developers are currently working on a fix. If possible can you submit a ticket with a detailed example and provide me with the id#? I can then add your domain to be notified once its corrected.

3dcart-William That would be great. I have an open ticket QNE-307-54680 about this problem. If they can updated the ticket when a solution is in place that would be great.

simplyspeakers Thanks for opening this thread. It looks like all my video tutorials are not longer showing either.

Toocutebeads Sorry you are experiencing the same issue. Do you have a ticket submitted to support I can look into for you? If not go ahead and submit one with a detailed example and I'll have someone look into it.
