  • Automatic Shipping via USPS

To date I'm using all custom shipping rates. I want to try the automatic rate calcs - especially for international orders.

SO - I clicked on the link in admin and registered.

I got an id and password and told USPS that I was going through 3dCart and they told me I'd been granted access to the production serve.

I put my id and password in by the USPS spot in ADMIN.

Then I went in and created a USPS shipping method.

    Nothing shows.

I contacted Tech Support - but they say I don't have an international method created. So I'm getting back to them on that.

I do have one though - for Global Priority Flat Rate Envelope Large

I also created a basic first class domestic under USPS and limited the weight to 1 pound.

    Neither of these show.

    Suggestions?
    Thanks!

Note that sending USPS an email doesnt mean the account was upgraded right away, it may take a few days. If you have waited at least 24-48 hours, then please update the ticket or create a new ticket and we'll take a look. I would like you to try to add a US method, ie, Priority, and try that, as that will tell us if its specific to International Methods or, all methods.

If the account is not yet activated, then no methods will show. If you get US methods but not international, that seems like a different issue, perhaps the type of package (weight) is too high, or too low, for that method.

That would be good to know information. :) I'll give it until Friday afternoon and try again.

      Thanks!

If I recall, USPS isn't immediate like UPS is. It's been a while, but, I think it was a two step process.

Yeah- I'll just wait - it will probably work great in a day or two. The email from USPS indicated I was good to go - but it doesn't suprise me that there would be some updates needing to be done.
