  • Credit card transactions between 8/21-8/26 having an incorrect amount?

    I am on hold with Propay because I just realized a bunch of my credit card transactions from 8/21-8/26 were incorrectly submitted. They were two digits off! For example an order of $23.80 was submitted for payment as $2.38! I am trying to figure out how this would have happened and if this was a 3D cart issue or a Propay issue. It was intermittent and did not affect all the transactions so sometimes the amounts were correct and then other times it was two digits off. I am having a rough time and this is a large amount of money for us to be losing right now. The time frame before and after that seems to be OK. So it looks to be those 5 days that were screwed up. Arrrggghhhhh!

    Great Propay says this has happened before and it is 3dcarts fault. Now on hold with 3dcart.

      That is disconcerting! It doesn't appear that we had an issue during that timeframe.

        ohc That's good! UGH! I had 12 orders affected. Basically any credit cards with totals ending in zeros had the zeros truncated. So a $50.00 order was processed as 5 cents etc. Order totals not ending in zero went through the gateway OK. 3dcart had me send in the info for them and I have a ticket in. I can't manually process the difference because I do not have their card numbers of course. So no idea how I am going to get paid and I am a very small company who cannot afford to absorb this loss. I just had a customer call me this morning and their order was done on a corporate card. Their receipt does not match their statement etc. and it was very embarrassing for me to explain the situation to her on the phone and I don't have a resolution yet. Nightmare!

              I would appreciate an update as to the cause and resolution and who might be affected.

                ohc This was reported by another merchant and affected few stores. The cause seemed to be around the order amount ending with a zero not getting posted properly. The developers were able to correct the issue and a patch was applied to affected store reporting the problem.
