Posting Rules
This forum was created to help 3dcart users share tips on getting the best out of the service, offer knowledge and experiences about e-commerce in general, and to promote a positive environment in which our merchants can request/dispense advice regarding best practices.

The forum was not created for 3dcart users to submit requests for customer support. Any support related thread will be removed and a support ticket will be placed on your behalf. If you have technical difficulties please visit

The 3dcart forum is also not intended to be a medium in which to express dissatisfaction about 3dcart's service, policies or its management and staff. Threads of this nature will also be removed from the forum. If a support issue with your 3dcart store was not resolved in a satisfactory manner; or if you feel that a particular 3dcart offering/policy is not to your liking, please let us know by emailing [email protected] so we can address your concerns directly.

Again, our purpose is to cultivate a positive learning environment for our merchants rather than platform in which to express grievances.

Very Important Rules:
* Never give away your store administration login/password in this forum.

Should you need technical help, please let 3dcart staff help.
Also, please be aware that 3dcart staff will NEVER need to ask for your 3dcart related passwords.

* While debate and discussion are acceptable, we will never tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
* Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) nonsensical posts, or similar postings.
* Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
* Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.
* We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature.
* Please wait at least 24 hours before bumping posts.

Reward points module BUG!

  • Reward points module BUG!

    Just realized that our reward module duplicate points ... issue started probably around six months ago after introduction of points expiration feature. I have activated feature with 180 days of expiration time ...Points didn't expired , module just added them as new one even after they have been used, without any explanation .
    Just word EXPIRES after it... check photo ..
    Same issue in my other stores .
    Not sure if I did something wrong with set up, but module looked so simple ...anyone else had same problem ?

    well , apparently no one used reward points module but me ...turned it off for good .... incredible risk using it ... wouldn't recommend it to anyone ...otherwise you'll get nasty surprise, random awarded thousands of points to customers , already expired points .. lol ..seriously , don't use it.

      You are not alone. i reported the same problem on 1/16
      techs kept ticket open until 3/6 !
      I enabled the module yesterday, but the problem remains.
      I opened another ticket and ping Gonzalo, so we will see what happens.

      This error has cost me $100s

        @lazarusjl I can feel your pain. This module has been permanently turned off in my stores. Behavior is unpredictable and erratic. As you pointed hundreds of dollars down the drain. Just surprised that this issue didn't affect more stores.

          Hey Kalaja,

          I wanted to let you know that the Techs told me this fix was in the 8.1 platform.
          I was updated yesterday and the module appears to be working as it should.

          The upside is that this is a nice alternative to a paid 3rd party Rewards program (when it works)

          The down side is that it failed and cost me $$ and then wasn't fixed for nearly 5 months (which is completely unacceptable)

          Anyway, just wanted to let you know,

            I had to manually remove ghost points from my largest customers accounts......however I'm still scared to turn it on ...

              Yeah, I had to as well. Took quite a lot of work to track them all down and cleanup.
              But I had to do it as my customers really wanted this program back.
              Keeping fingers crossed that it will work now.

              If I find otherwise, I'll post here.

                True ... my customers were really mad when I suspended program .. it's great incentive to get back to your store , when working as you said...
