Posting Rules
This forum was created to help 3dcart users share tips on getting the best out of the service, offer knowledge and experiences about e-commerce in general, and to promote a positive environment in which our merchants can request/dispense advice regarding best practices.

The forum was not created for 3dcart users to submit requests for customer support. Any support related thread will be removed and a support ticket will be placed on your behalf. If you have technical difficulties please visit http://support.3dcart.com.

The 3dcart forum is also not intended to be a medium in which to express dissatisfaction about 3dcart's service, policies or its management and staff. Threads of this nature will also be removed from the forum. If a support issue with your 3dcart store was not resolved in a satisfactory manner; or if you feel that a particular 3dcart offering/policy is not to your liking, please let us know by emailing [email protected] so we can address your concerns directly.

Again, our purpose is to cultivate a positive learning environment for our merchants rather than platform in which to express grievances.

Very Important Rules:
* Never give away your store administration login/password in this forum.

Should you need technical help, please let 3dcart staff help.
Also, please be aware that 3dcart staff will NEVER need to ask for your 3dcart related passwords.

General Rules:
* While debate and discussion are acceptable, we will never tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.
* Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) nonsensical posts, or similar postings.
* Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.
* Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.
* We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature.
* Please wait at least 24 hours before bumping posts.
* Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.
* Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.
* We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.
* We also reserve the right to remove postings which are in violation of our specified posting rules

  • MailChimp Integration

    Wondered if anyone knows -- if a customer has an account and is subscribed to our list that is connected to MailChimp, and then changes their email address in their store account, should not their email address be updated in a synch with MailChimp? And if not, why not and who should be contacted about the problem - 3dCart or MailChimp?

      The list from 3dCart syncs daily so it should.

      Just a FYI, I noticed on your home page that the "white cloud" looking footer does not go across the complete page. It does on every other page. Just seems odd...

        One thing I don't like is if a customer subscribed on your store (Not an app like getsitecontrol), then they will NOT be unsubscribed from your 3dCart list. This is only if they unsubscribe from a newsletter sent from mailchimp. It only removes them from the mailchimp list. This is cause 3dCart only setup the mailchimp integration to sync from 3dCart to mailchimp. Should sync both ways...

          JoeBTI Joe, 3d touts an improved MC integration... could this be an error? Have you reached out to them about this? Perhaps, they can improve this aspect of their connection. With honoring a removal request being so important to the CAN SPAM, I would think that the powers that 3d be would take something like this quite seriously.

            I did ask last year. Below is the answer from support.

            Thanks for contacting 3DCart Technical Support! Always a pleasure to hear from you!

            The Mailchimp integration is only designed to transmit data from your store to Mailchimp, not vice versa.

            You may also refer to our knowledgbase article https://support.3dcart.com/Knowledge...with-mailchimp which goes into the features and functions of the MailChimp integration.

              The mailchimp integration has been updated since last year. The article referenced doesn't exist in our knowledge base anymore. If you search for mailchimp now there is an up to date KB that explains and goes over sync and the other features.                 The mailchimp updates you've done still don't remove them off the list in the 3dCart store. Tested....

                  JoeBTI Thanks for the feedback, are you able to open a ticket with details so we can confirm if this should be part of the integration? By default, the article only says it syncs from 3dcart to mailchimp. This could be by design when the integration was developed.

                    I'll get a ticket submitted next week. How can I submit a ticket with screenshots? There is no option to upload files to a ticket. Only two ways to submit a ticket (that I know of) is support.3dcart.com or the admin under Dashboard>Support Section>Open Ticket. Neither allow file uploads.

                      JoeBTI You can send an email with attachments to [email protected], or you can also wait for a reply and respond within your email client to attach files.

                        Here is the answer from support if anyone wants to know. Seems flawed...

                        Thanks for your patience. The developers let me know that the unsubscribe would only remove them from the MailChimp list. To prevent the customer from being synced again you would need to go into the customer record and manually unsubscribe them.
