  • Coding help with borders needed

    Hey guys, I'm having a lot of trouble adding a border to my right side bar. I'd like to have a black border on the left side of my right sidebar. Any help is greatly appreciated....I've already tried several hours of trial and error. I'm attaching my frame.html and .css file in text format.

    Line 164 in frame.html

    change this:
    Code:
    <td valign="top" width="168" class="right-bar"><!--START: RIGHT BAR-->
    to this:
    Code:
    <td valign="top" width="168" class="right-bar" STYLE="border-left: 1px solid #000000;"><!--START: RIGHT BAR-->
    Alternatively in your css file you can change this:
    Code:
    /*right-bar:: Controls the way the right bar looks*/
    .right-bar {

    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 11px;
    color: #696969;
    font-weight: bold;
    background-color: #ffffff;

    }

    to this:
    Code:
    /*right-bar:: Controls the way the right bar looks*/
    .right-bar {

    font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 11px;
    color: #696969;
    font-weight: bold;
    background-color: #ffffff;
    border-left: 1px solid #000000;
    }
    Let me know how that goes.

        Ah. Yeah border-left is not a valid attribute to go directly in an html tag like that. Basically anything you see listed in a .css file can be placed directly in code by using STYLE="" and then in quotes you list them with semi-colons on the end just as you would in the .css.

        Good luck!
