    Hi,

How can I use a favicon with 3dcart?

    Thanks in advance.

3dcart has an article regarding getting favicon to work: https://support.3dcart.com/index.php...barticleid=167

I have used this on our store: http://store.stsi.com

You should see a Blue "S" as the favicon.

        Arend,

I just did mine and all you do is put the .ico file in the web folder via FTP. Also, make sure your cache is cleared and temp internet files are cleared. http://forums.3dcart.com/general-con...-favicons.html That's it. :D

sometimes it doesnt show until you bookmark the page.

Craig - http://store.stsi.com/favicon.ico doesnt appear to be there
or as you state in your code http://store.stsi.com/assets/images/special/favicon.ico

its better to put in the root folder via FTP and the browsers should pick it right up without any need for the tag.

            Doug,

That's strange. I see the favicon.ico file in the /web directory, but I can also reproduce the issue that you and others are reporting.

In trying to troubleshoot this issue, I came across a reference to certain browsers (usually IE) that have trouble with certain .ico files. So, I re-converted my original file using a different favicon.ico generator, and uploaded that file instead of my previous favicon.ico. That one appears to work! Very strange. Here is the link to the favicon.ico generator that worked: http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/

If any of you would be willing to try my site again, and let me know if the favicon shows up, I would certainly appreciate the effort: http://store.stsi.com

              Thanks,

                        Brian,

Thanks for the order, and thanks for checking my favicon. I appreciate both.
