• "If"/"Then" Image Coding?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone uses, knows how, or if it's possible to do some sort of "if/then" scenario for images?

For example, let's say I sell t-shirts that come in 4 different colors options: Black, White, Blue, and Green.

The default image on the product page is a white t-shirt. If the customer chooses from the Options drop-down menu ("Choose Your T-Shirt Color") for a different color shirt than the white default photo (say, Green), is there a way to make it so that the white t-shirt default photo shown on the product page could switch to the picture of the Green t-shirt?

I'm not an expert in coding by any means, but I figured if there's a way to do "If: Option Color Green" is chosen, "Then: Show Green T-Shirt Photo", it would be great!

Thanks in advance to anyone who has suggestions or ideas!
James

We have a product page still in development, where we experiment with the Drop Image feature.
See here: http://www.concession-supply.com/NCA...ol_p_4929.html

We were trying to make the large image change as it does with the thumbnail, but, were unsucessful.

Thanks! That's pretty close to what we're looking for. Us, like you, would ideally like the enlarged image to change, but the way you have it set up is certainly better than the alternative (not having any photo change). I think we'll start with your method and look to see if there's a way to have the larger picture change over, and of course in the event we figure it out I'll be sure to let you know.

Thanks again for your help!

We tried that but unfortunately, it changes other images on the page. It changes the thumbnails for the new releases to the product image.
Did we do something wrong?

99% there :)
Looks like the frame file you have has

Code:
id="large" name="large"
for the images used on the new releases.

Simply open the frame.html

Look for

id="large" name="large"

You can remove that from those images, or give them a different id/name.

It's still in development.
unfortunately, you cannot purchase the item when formatted this way. :(
not sure why this doesn't work, but, we're back to drawing board! :(

Are all of your Start and End <--TAGS:> in the right place around the dropdown image code, especially the Add to Cart tags?

We had a little that was preventing the options from loading. I think we're good to go now!
Thanks everyone for their help! :D
