  • Header Madness

    Hello,

    I added a header to

    http://www.getperfectgifts.com/

    and adjusted the frame.html template and on the home page it looks fine. But the other pages don't seem to be picking up the width changes?

    Anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Ric

    I like the narrower store more... what you really want to do is have the search and shopping bag stuff be on top of the banner image behind the womans back.

    You can do this in the frame.html by placing the banner with this css

    Code:
    #header {
    	position:relative;
    	width:XXXpx;
    	margin:0 auto;
            margin-top: XXXpx;
    	text-align:left;
    	background-image: url(assets/images/XXX/XXX.jpg);
    	overflow: hidden;
            width: XXXpx
            height: XXXpx
    }
    This should center the banner div and set its background to your logo. then use margin-top to position it into the right place in your layout.

    Code:
    <div id="header"></div>
    This is the code you will put into the frame.html

    I have not tested it, but this should put your banner into the background of your header so that then you can have the shopping bag and seach box floating on top of it.

      Great Idea!

      Made changes as you suggested but the image doesn't appear to display.

          I am unable to get this to work. Any specific area in the css file this needs to be placed? Does the # need to be removed from header in the css? Where is the best spot to put the <div id ? I have placed them both in many places and am not having any luck with this. Any help would be great. Thanks
