How do I place category links in the center of the home page under the Featured Product section. My objective is to create buttons or links that drive a visitor to category pages versus an individual product page.
This will enable me to drive traffic to a segue page (or category) versus an individual product page.
    Thanks!

We had asked support some time ago about publishing our categories with their icons on the home page with their icons and they told us it couldn't be done.

You may want to open a ticket to see if that's changed.

      Hello,

If I understand correctly what you are try to do, this can be accomplished by going into the admin panel and clicking SETTINGS>DESIGN>TITLES AND CONTENT>HOME PAGE and edit there. If you view my homepage, www.macdimms.com, all of the categories above the "weekly specials" have been setup this way. I have a very limited understanding of HTML, so I used the WYSIWYG mode and tables. There are much better techniques that would produce a much better result (which I am still looking into), but it can be done through the admin panel.

      I hope that helps,

        thank you for suggestion

Yes, you offer a great work around to the software/template limitations.
Originallly, I considered exactly what you suggested. It's great being able to view an alternate format to the home page.
        I appreciate your feedback!

I had thought of a manual solution like yours but I wanted to have it dynamic so that whenever I created a category it would automagically show up on the front page with the paramaters I used when creating it.

But, if categories don't change very often static is good..
