  • Home page Add to cart

OK I give up and have probably spent as much time as everyone else on this.
What code do we need to use to get the home page to add to cart w/out being taken to the listing page?

I have all the codes separated that you might need. But first I need to know exactly what you need to happen.

So you want to click the product (Image or Add to Cart tag) on homepage (Featured Section) to go directly to cart completely bypassing the listing?

Let me know and I will sort the coding for you.

      Hi Glowexpress.

If possible please post the code for "add to Cart" and stay put on the same page (home page).
I think this is what Go Live is asking for also, but I may be wrong.

Yes add to cart but stay on home page.

It seems the variable to do this is not available for the home page. Have tried a few codes with no luck.

There is a setting that controls this behavior for the cat pages.
settings>general>store settings: checkout settings / view cart enable.

Was hoping for a work around in the form of code. Not a huge deal but none the less a stone in the path to perfection.

Should be able to add an extra variable in the coding that's already there. I will try to work it out tonight and let you know what I come up with.

The url seems like it would be the direct approach?
Maybe create a new page or cat.
            And custom name to index.html?
            Or use cat block?

Seems like a bit much for such a small feature.
Wish there was a advanced code book for those in need (FAQs)
Sure save us from hours and days of running around.

A feature FAQ file with full discloser of known limitations(would be helpful). The newly found info would either go to this file or the to do list(Seems like the fair thing to do. Much better then running around in the dark).

I know the internet is still young and we're all having to much fun but those that you pay, and know the answers, should share them.

I vote for a advanced design section in this forum. A place for Code and Java Scrip beyond the push button fundamentals.

GlowExpress No worries don't spend to much time on this tiny stone.

            Thanks none the less.
