  • Manufacturer's Drop Down

    Hi!

    I'm having trouble getting my manufacturer's drop down menu to work, and can't see the problem. It looks right on the screen, it just doesn't pick up the data. Any help with the code would be appreciated!

    <table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" id="Table9">
    <form name="mfg" id="mfg" method="get" action="search_groups.asp" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">
    <tr>
    <div id="navColumnOneWrapper3" style="width: 178px">
    <div class="leftBoxContainer" style="width: 178px">
    <div class="sidebox-header-left main-sidebox-header-left">
    <h3 class="leftBoxHeading main-sidebox-header-right" >[frame_manufacturer]</h3></div>
    <div id="categoriesContent4" class="sideBoxContent">
    <select name="manf" onChange="this.form.submit();" id="Select1" class="txtBoxStyle" style="width:150px;">
    <option value=0 selected class="txtBoxStyle">Manufacturer</option>
    <!--START: manufacturer_format-->
    <option value=[mfgid]>[manufacturer]</option>
    <!--END: manufacturer_format-->
    </select>
    </div>
    </div>
    </div>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </form>

    The code works, your are most likely putting it in a template that does not allow the manufacturer tag. Also, your closing the table prematurely, with your current code you should close the form before the table.

    </table>
    </form>

    to

    </form>
    </table>

    Try putting your code inside the frame template and see if it works. If it is not still working, post the url to where you are trying to get it to work.

        Here is how the drop down code looks in my frame.html

        Code:
        <!--START: FRAME_MANUFACTURER-->
        <form name="mfg" id="mfg" method="get" action="search_groups.asp">
        	<div class="product-catalog">
        		<h6>Shop by Brand</h6>
        		<select name="manf" onChange="this.form.submit();" class="form-input">
        			<option value="0" selected>Select Brand</option>
        			<!--START: manufacturer_format-->
        			<option value="[mfgid]">[manufacturer]</option>
        			<!--END: manufacturer_format-->
        		</select>
        	</div>
        </form><br>
        <!--END: FRAME_MANUFACTURER-->

            That doesn't make sense to me. Every 3DCart template I have seen uses a frame.html and I have never seen a file called manufacturer_index. You may want to open a support ticket.

              I found it & it works-which is just awesome.
              Now problem # 2 is i wanted to go back in & edit it & it is completely blank but my site works 100%. So i might have to call tech support now, but at least i got a drop down menu. So much closer now.
