  • Top sellers listed below Featured Products

Great forum, I've been reading and designing my site for several months now.

I am wondering if there are any sites or examples out there that have "Best sellers" or "top sellers" showing in the same style format of the center home page like the default setup for "Featured Products".

I would like both to be listed on the home page with similar layout.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Does anyone have top sellers displayed anywhere besides the left or right?

Be very careful. You would have to isolate the code and move it to where you want it in the frame template. Your going to need web developer tools to inspect the live site to get an idea of what code your looking for. Safari has some nice tools and a pretty good web inspector built in. You need to turn the developer tools on manually for them to show up all the time in the tool bar. The tools in FF are pretty lame.

Not something you want to do without having a clean/working copy of the entire frame template to drop back in when/if you trash the live version.

I have to disagree with you. The tools in FF rock. I use them all the time on our sites, and ours are pretty custom away from 3d templates.

From an analyzing view at all the elements of a site FF is a wannabe. And the add-in FireBug which does a much better job, will (unless they finally fixed it) knock your speed by up to 50% whether it's loaded or not.

Safari does a much better job and no I'm not running a Mac.

My main problem with Web Inspector, is the Elements tab. My argument boils down to this: The CSS view does not resemble a stylesheet, and the HTML view does not resemble source code. But that's just me.

Firebug is my preference and has worked wonderfully for the sites I work on.

I would run a speed test from FF and from IE. It will tell you if your FireBug is messed up and effecting your connection.
