  • Launch New Store Discussion and Opinion Design

    Hello Everybody.
I would like to start wishing fabulous selling to everyone in this new Year 2015.

Since I am building an eCommerce with 3dCart I have seen numerous great stores, with any kind of products and I have appreciated the creativity of every "builder" here.

I would like today asking you guys all to give me some feedback about my brand new store, live only a couple of months and still often under development and updating with new items and new graphic.

Please, let me know your thoughts, it would be much appreciated.

Looking good. I'm always a fan of the homepage picture sliders.

I personally am not much of a fan of the "responsive templates" that 3dcart offers, because they always seem to bugger up the nav bar. I'd maybe look in to finding an alternative nav bar for the top and implementing that in to your layout. Or just getting doing a different template other than the responsive. That is just my personal taste though.

      good idea?

      Hey
Many thanks for sharing your thought.

What do you mean by buggering up the nav bar?

I do like the slide too, its intent is the one to give a quick idea of what the store is selling.

I am just thinking if it would be better creating a drop menu or moving the categories from the side menu to the bar and moving the voices in the bar to the very top of the page.

      What you think?

Sorry I should clarify on the "bugger up the nav bar" comment. So on your site it looks like you have a responsive template, so when you make your browser smaller your site adjusts to the screen width. Usually when i'm working I rarely have the browser maximized, just because I have to access different stuff on my desktop quite routinely.

Check out the attachment, this is how i see your site with my browser size. Notice how the nav bar carries over to a new line. Now this isn't an issue if i make my screen larger, i'm just saying that some people might come upon your page and think its a design flaw. Like I said, it's probably a nitpicky thing on my part.

Being that there really isn't a big variety of category options on the left nav menu, I would almost think of getting rid of it entirely and go to a full page layout.

If you private message me your email I can send you a rough idea if you decided to go with a full page layout.

            Hi,
            I fixed it.

The only thing is that now the bar will keep its dimension without re sizing which I tried to do but with not success.

            Anyway, better than before.

Perhaps make that home page video smaller with the ability to go larger if the viewer desires. Maybe add some text to the home page about what you do and offer etc.

              IMO
