  • Changing Social Media Icons?

    Does anyone know how to change the Social Media Icons? I have a template that has the basic B&W buttons for FB, TW, Google+, etc. I want to change them out to colored buttons. Is this a hard thing to do?

        I'm sure that there are a few ways to handle this. I'm still learning, but it looks like the social media icons are using "Fontello" icons, at least the template that I'm using at the moment is. In frame.html look for "social-icons" and find the "i class="..." within each social media code block. You can delete the "i class" and replace with an image of choice. (Don't forget to add the image in assets/images.) ....

        Example:

        HTML

        Before:
        <div class="social-icons">
        <!--START: social_link_facebook--><a href="[social_link_facebook_url]" class="facebook" target="_blank" title="Like Us on Facebook"><i class="icon-facebook"></i></a><!--END: social_link_facebook-->
        </div>
        ----------------------------------------------------------------
        After:
        <div class="social-icons">
        <!--START: social_link_facebook--><a href="[social_link_facebook_url]" class="facebook" target="_blank" title="Like Us on Facebook"><img src="assets/images/facebook.png" alt="facebook"></a><!--END: social_link_facebook-->
        </div>

        CSS

        .social-icons a, .social-icons a img {
        width: 25px;
        height: 25px;
        }

        Be sure to back up the frame.html ( and everything else) before making changes.

          Holy... I apologize, I completely forgot about this. Unfortunately I do not believe I can add the link here due to certain advertising rule restrictions. But you can go to my store and then go to the menu items elements-->free downloadable.

          Thanks,
          Shaun
